As the longest river in Germany, the Rhine separates the country from France and the Moselle rises from the French Vosges and flows into the Rhine near Koblenz after almost 544 kilometers. Enjoy the landscapes and explore these wonderful rivers. In addition to a delicious wine tasting, you will also explore the city "where Father Rhine meets Mother Mosel": Welcome to Koblenz, the beautiful city on the German Corner!
Day 1: Arrival via Moselle Valley - A
On your journey through the Moselle Valley, the oldest and most famous wine-growing region in Germany, stop at a local winegrower and experience a delicious Moselle wine tasting.
Day 2: Sightseeing Koblenz - F/A
Koblenz, the city at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle, is being explored in more detail today. The charming old town attracts visitors from far and wide every year. Daily boat trips on one of the two rivers start at the Rhine promenade. Stroll along the Rhine promenade or stop for refreshment in one of the many cafés. In the morning, however, you will first take a city tour through the romantic old town of Koblenz. You will discover highlights such as the Kaiser Wilhelm memorial at the Deutsches Eck, the Schängelbrunnen at the town hall and the Forum Confluentes with the Romanticum at the Zentralplatz.
Afterwards, we recommend that you take the cable car over the Rhine to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, one of the largest fortifications in Europe (optional). You float over the Rhine and can enjoy a magnificent view of the city with its sights and the German Corner. Once at the top, we would be happy to organize a guide (optional) for you, which includes also explain something about the 5000 year history of Ehrenbreitstein and let the story appear alive in original locations.
Day 3: Farewell - F
Today, unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye. We are happy to offer you an extra day because the region has much more to explore. Before you start your journey home, we strongly recommend a visit to the interactive exhibition Romanticum in the Forum Confluentes in Koblenz (optional). Here you can find out everything about why the Rhine with its fairy tales and legends is so beautiful.
