Day 1: Arrival Davos - A
Welcome to Davos! The two districts of Davos Platz and Davos Dorf have grown together over a length of 4 kilometres. Surrounded by wooded mountains and protected from the harsh winds to the north and east, Davos has developed into a leading summer and winter health resort thanks to its climatic advantages. The parish church of St. Johann Baptista, built in Davos Platz in 1481, and the neighbouring town hall date back to ancient times. The Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Museum is located directly above the town hall. The artist lived in Davos-Frauenkirch from 1917-1938.
A coach accompanies the route and drives guests between the railway station and the hotel. ATTENTION: bus is not included, it must be requested and charged separately.
Day 2: Train journey Chur - Disentis – 250 km - F/A
Today you are travelling in the footsteps of the legendary Glacier route. Take the regional railway (no panoramic carriage) from Chur and admire the Rhine Gorge, one of the most fascinating river landscapes in Europe, between Reichenau and Ilanz. You'll see why it's called the "Swiss Grand Canyon". From Disentis, you can continue to Andermatt on request (for an extra charge). Worth seeing here are the town hall and the baroque church of St Peter and Paul. Return journey to Davos.
Day 3: Train journey Pontresina - Poschiavo – 200 km - F/A
The train journey (no panoramic carriages) on the "little red one" - as the Bernina railway, which is no longer red, is affectionately known - is a special experience. During the journey, the railway climbs over the Bernina Pass up to 2253 metres - unique in Europe. At Montebello, in the 180-degree bend of the same name, passengers are treated to the most impressive view of the high mountains with a view of the Morteratsch Glacier and the Bernina Group.
Day 4: Journey home - F
After a fascinating stay and with many wonderful memories and pictures in your mind, you will start your journey home today. Our tip: why not make a stopover in Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland?
