Enjoy Germany's variety of green valleys and vibrant cities. While Bavaria fascinates with wonderful green mountains, Hamburg impresses with its diverse districts and largest harbour in the country. The further you go north the saltier the air gets. Revel in the panoramic views of the romantic Rhine valley with its impressive castles and rolling vineyards. What do you like best? Visit three UNESCO World Heritage sites and learn about a different part of German history. Look forward to bustling metropolitan flair and old towns with hundreds of half timbered houses from the Middle Ages.

Day 1: Arrival in Bavaria
After your arrival in Munich, meet your local guide for an exciting city tour. Discover the highlights of the Bavarian capital like the famous Frauenkirche, Mary's Square, Viktualienmarkt and the splendid Maximilianstreet. Later on, check in to your hotel in the Munich area for the night.

Day 2: Munich - Nuremberg - F
Today, you leave for Nuremberg, birth place of the famous artist Albrecht Duerer. A local guide will show you the Old Town encircled by the historic town walls. Preserved guard towers and wide gates remind of the life in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance age. Almost directly in the centre you can admire St. Lorenz church with a splendidly sculptured entrance. Do not miss the opportunity and taste culinary specialities like gingerbread and, of course, bratwurst. Overnight stay in Nuremberg area.

Day 3: Nuremberg - Rothenburg - Wuerzburg - F
Explore a real jewel of the Middle Ages, Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This former Free Imperial City has brilliantly retained its medieval surface and attracts over a million tourists each year. Afterwards, we continue our journey to the Wuerzburg area for our overnight stay.

Day 4: Wuerzburg - Hamburg - F
Today, you will see the best of Wuerzburg: the former Prince Bishop's Residence, a masterpiece of German baroque and UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Fortress Marienburg, embedded in vineyards and overlooking the city. In the afternoon you depart for Hamburg, heading north. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel.

Day 5: Hamburg - F
Hamburg is a fascinating and vibrant city. A typical harbour cruise will give you a first impression of the Hanseatic and metropolitan character. Germany's largest port stretches across 15 km along the river Elbe. During a guided city tour you will get to know the different districts and areas like Altona, St. Pauli with the illustrious Reeperbahn, Speicherstadt, HafenCity and much more – a very cosmopolitan atmosphere. In the late afternoon, you return to your hotel.

Day 6: Hamburg - Bremen - Cologne - F
After breakfast leave for Bremen, the Free Hanseatic City at river Weser with an old tradition of seafaring. See the Roland monument, the cathedral and the City Hall with the statue of Brothers Grimm's "Town Musicians of Bremen". After a walk through the narrow streets of Schnoor district with tiny houses drive to Cologne. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 7: Cologne - Bonn - Heidelberg - F
In the morning, meet your guide for a walk through the narrow streets of the historic centre of Cologne.
